History
The Independence Diversity Task Force was created by Leadership Independence to help promote diversity in the Independence, KS community. We begin this process with a Diversity Summit on April 4, 2009 bringing members from our community for many different walks of life to gather. We continue to promote diversity through a variety of events. If you are experiencing a problem, concern, or have an idea in regards to diversity please let us know.

Project Q&A, (formally The Montgomery County LGBTQ and Allies Social group) sole purpose is to create a connection between area LGBTQ members and their allies. This group will work to create an LGBTQ visibility for an otherwise invisible community. Through gatherings on the first and third Thursdays, Project Q&A will meet at Uncle Jacks in Independence, KS to enjoy good food, great company, and create lasting friendships.
